I'm looking for help from any Americans out there....

I got this email from the splendid people in the NASA History Office...

------------------------------------------
The NASA History Division is pleased to announce the availability of a
new Monograph in Aerospace History (#36) by Howard E. McCurdy entitled
Low-Cost Innovation in Spaceflight: The Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous
(NEAR) Shoemaker Mission. This is an insightful study of the management
practices on the NEAR mission that originated as an unsolicited proposal
from the Johns Hopkins University's Applied Physics Lab after the CRAF
mission was canceled.

Hard copies of this monograph are available to the public by sending a
self-addressed 9x12" envelope for each monograph with appropriate
postage for 17 ounces (typically $3.95 within the U.S., $5.70 for
Canada, and $12.15 for overseas - international customers are asked to
purchase U.S. postage through an outlet such as www.stampsonline.com )
to the NASA Headquarters Information Center, Washington, DC 20546. NASA
employees may also stop by the History Division in room CO72 to pick up
a free copy.
--------------------------------

I had a look at stampsonline, but frankly, it's would be a pain. I wouldn't be
able to buy the exact amount so there would be stamps left over that would be
of no use to me. Then, I would have to pay for shipping to the UK just so I could
stick the stamps to an envelope and send them back to the US.

So, I was wondering if there would be anybody willing to send NASA an envelope with
my address and $12.15 on it?

In exchange... ummm how about a UK edition of one of the HP books? I think that
would be about fair (I believe it's book one that has the most differences between
the two editions.)

It would be best to do this only agree to do this if you have access to a work or
university mailing address - it's an exceptionally bad idea to hand out home
addresses to people you only know online.

I hate to say this, but I don't think the sender is a NASA person. I think you got spammed.
