Incidentally, after voting Green for years I decided to join the party after the recent European/local elections, and have got involved in a science policy mailing list. I think there's a good chance we should be able to get a lot of Green science policies overhauled over the next couple of years (everything has to go through the democratic process and be presented at conference and voted on, but there seems to be a lot of support within the party for fixing this area).
